Whether it’s for basic manners or more complex behavioral issues, I am focused on not only training your dog, but teaching pet parents how to effectively communicate with their dog using positive reinforcement training.
I also offer boarding and daycare services. I treat your dog like they're my family. They have a great time and no matter if your on vacation or at work, you will have the peace of mind knowing they are safe and having fun!

Dog Expert
In Home Positive Reinforcement Training & Behavior Modification.
I offer in home positive reinforcement training. I find the best place to train a dog is in their home since that is where is issues happen. Each course starts with a consultation to meet your dog and family.
My basic obedience course covers all the basic commands in a 5 week training course. Each lesson is 45-60 minutes, one day a week. This covers all of the basic commands Focus, Sit, Down, Loose leash walking, Take-it, Stay, Recall
My problem solving course covers 3 behaviors you would like modified. You pick the three behaviors. This is a 3 week course. Each lesson is 45-60 minutes, one day a week.
My housebreaking plan includes a personalized housebreaking schedule and 1 training lesson.
I also offer individual lessons if you have a small issue.

Private Training
I offer private training. This is where I take your dog and train them the commands you would like trained. I only train one dog at a time. This is a customizable lesson plan.
When the dog comes home you will have to continue training and keeping up with practicing the commands.

Boarding
Vacation, long weekend, overnight or business trip? Have complete peace of mind knowing your dog is having a great time! I offer a home away from home experience for your dog. They may have more fun than you do!!!
I will send pictures and videos showing how much fun they are having.
Proof of vaccinations required - Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP
Rates $40.00 per dog, per night.

Daycare
Long day at work? Day trip? Bring your dog to doggy daycare! They can have fun while and have company while you are at work!

Board and Train
Your dog will come stay with me for 7 days, 6 nights and learn basic obedience commands. Focus, Sit, Down, Loose leash walking, Auto sit, Take it, Come, Stay.
When you come pick up your dog you will have a 1.5 hour lesson on their continuing education.
The rate is $2200.00
Meet the trainer
Hello I am Rebecca Markle, ABCDT. Owner and trainer of Proper Pups Dog Training, LLC. I graduated from Animal Behavior College with honors in 2011. I am also certified with the AKC as an evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen program.
I opened Proper Pups Dog Training in 2015 with the hopes of keeping dogs out of shelters due to behavior issues.
I have always had a passion for animals. I love working with dogs and seeing the look of joy on their pet parents face when they are able to communicate with each other more effectively.
Being a dog trainer has also helped me run successful boarding and daycare services. I know pet parents sometimes feel bad going to work or leaving their pet while they go on vacation.
You can have complete peace of mind when your dog is with me. They are treated like family and have their own little vacation.
